Pay generally ranges from $18-40/hr depending on assignment, experience, and event. Staff are booked 4-6 weeks in advance for events, and experienced staffers may work up to 25-30 weekends/year.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
• New York-based event production company is seeking to add talented event professionals to its stable of part-time freelance staff. Firm is an experienced producer of community and large-scale athletic events, festivals, civic and public events, promotional stunts, product launches, immersion events, and press conferences.
Our part-time freelance staff supports our full time staff of producers on-site in a variety of roles.
Requirements for the job include:
- Willingness to work early, late and long hours
- Working knowledge of NYC and the surrounding boroughs
- An industrious, can-do attitude, with an aptitude for going-with-the-flow and improvising
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- No fear of cold, rain, heat, wet, muddy, or otherwise unpleasant working environments.
- Willingness to work as part of a larger team
You earn bonus points if:
- You have experience driving 16-24’ box trucks in a city environment
- Bilingual (Spanish a plus)
- Experience (volunteer or staff) in athletic events
- You bring chocolates to your interview.
