For an event planner challenges can arise at the spur of the
moment.
Event and wedding planning in particular, is a job where you really have to roll with the punches. For instance,
as the planner you may have the perfect wedding set
up and the cake has just been placed on the round
table top that is on a smaller square table.
You move on to the next area that needs your
attention and it is just then the bride’s four year-old nephew tries to climb on the table to look at the cake and pushes down with all his weight on the table top. The cake goes flying as the bride looks on
in horror-what do you do?
In this situation the only thing you can do as the planner is stay calm and try to remedy the situation as best you can.
If the cake decorator is still in the vicinity, she can often work wonders with a little extra frosting and some flowers..
Keeping the mood light is one of the most important things you can do as a planner. So the next time a cake goes
flying, be prepared to catch it if you can and if not you just gotta do the best you can.
